Abstract

|
Eccrine angiomatous hamartoma is a rare tumorous malformation with proliferation of eccrine secretory glands and ducts, combinded with capillary angiomatous channels and occasionally other minor elements. To date, several variants showing
lipomatous
proliferation and mucinous deposits have been reported.
We report a case of eccrine angiomatous hamartoma on the left ankle of a 24-year-old woman. The patient presented with linear, dome-shaped, about 1cm sized brown colored multiple nodules on the left ankle. There was increased sweating on the
nodules
following exertion. Histological examination showed an increased numbers of eccrine sweat glands and vascular structures. In addition, lipomatous structures and mucinous matrices were observed in close association with the eccrine angiomatous
complex.
